This is a still image of my most recent installation, An Invitation in a View, at CURRENTS 2016, Santa Fe, NM.
The Invitation in a View is a sculpture-based, projection installation enhanced by the integration of the human spirit. The sculptural element is a portal made of roots, branches and light. Projection layers the door with potent, churning imagery, that engages the subconscious. What exists beyond decisiveness? In what do we recognize beauty? How easy is it for us to let go? I believe that our self-perception affects the way we perceive the world, and the way others perceive us. Our relationship to identity shapes our ability to interact, and share our fullest potential. The Invitation in a View is a thought on the constant presentation of moments that create choice, and provide opportunity. |
This is a video art installation created in 2016 for a dance/music/projection mapping collaboration. These are some select elements of a commissioned piece by the Pushkin Gallery utilizing the paintings of Boris Chetkov. The video was showcased at the opening of Russian Art Week, held at the Westbury Hotel Gallery, Mayfair London, in tandem with the publication release of Re-Imagining Russia, the newest Chetkov publication. (Chetkov's work can be found at www.pushkingallery.com) Samples of a mixed media, video art installation. Utilizing a pagoda-like wood sculpture, 5 layers of fabric, and dual-projection. |
This is a 2013 video art installation piece inspired by the devastation in Fukushima, and the effects it has had, and will have on the rest of the world. |
